Tilt: Never Ending Story
(2026)

The throw-up appears. The city removes it. It comes back: both exactly the same and totally different. That is the practice. It has not stopped since 1989.

Never Ending Story is that loop documented. Years of Tilt’s throw-ups photographed through the full cycle: the mark made, the mark removed, and the ghost left behind. Each image pulls the next. The book does not end because the practice does not end.

It is sequenced as a gradient: throw-up at full intensity, wall being buffed, abstracted trace, cycle returns. A designed object, not a documentation archive. The visual logic of the book is the same loop Tilt paints.

Tilt has spent 38 years doing one thing obsessively across 72 countries. What he calls the mastery of non-mastery: total control and total release, at the same time.

Sessions painted with Seen, OsGemeos, Remio, and writers from across five decades. The critical essays treat the practice as what it is.

Standard Edition (€44).

Collector Edition (€120) a signed and numbered copy of Never Ending Story with an original hand-finished print. Both the book and the print are signed and numbered by Tilt. Each print is made using a stencil cut by hand, painted, outlined and buffed. A yellow throw-up on paper. Each print is unique. Edition of 150.

Archive Edition (€200) three layers of uniqueness. The hardcover: a different material and colour for every copy, with a unique throw-up photograph embossed into it. The print: stencil cut by hand, painted, outlined and buffed in pink, on a photograph selected by Tilt. The cover photograph and the print photograph are never the same. The book: signed and numbered by Tilt, as is the print. None of the covers match. Edition of 50.
