RER
French urban culture magazine RER, also known as Rap et Ragga, was supposed to come out in 1995, but the Juppé strikes pushed the company back until spring 1996.
RER is by some considered the first French urban culture mag, and the first music mag to introduce, from number 1, sport, fashion and shopping in its pages, a principle which will then be adopted by its competitors born in the following months, Groove and Radikal.
During its existence, RER, in an old-fashioned attitude, never sold their cover, demonstrating a total deficiency in marketing (RER therefore never had public posters either) at the same time as a journalistic ethics which today seem as quaint as they are flamboyant, like Don Quixote dueling the windmills.
