The Italian Job
(2022)

Born and raised in the Bronx, at the age of 13 John Matos began expressing his art by spray painting subway cars and the walls of abandoned buildings in New York. He soon established himself in the environment as one of the most influential artists alongside artists of the caliber of Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kool Koor, Rammellzee, Futura 2000 and came to be universally considered the pioneer of the Graffiti artistic movement.

Produced in 200 hand-numbered copies and created in direct collaboration with the artist, the catalog consists of 82 pages containing the works that gave life to Crash's personal exhibition, as well as previously unpublished archive photographs and images of the exhibition's vernissage . Printed in 29.7 x 21 cm format, it includes texts by John Leguizano and Raffaella Caruso.
